Description
RECOVERY - THIS ACTION IS FUNDED BY THE AMERICAN RECOVERY AND REINVESTMENT ACT (ARRA). THIS NOTICE IS PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO THE EXISTING TRIENNIAL REVIEW (TR) CONTRACTOR(S) UNDER THE CURRENT INDEFINITE DELIVERY INDEFINITE QUANTITY (IDIQ) CONTRACT(S) FOR TR SERVICES. The Federal Transit Administration intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price task order to a TR contractor with a current IDIQ contract which was awarded as a result of a full and open competition for TR services. The Federal Transit Law requires the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) to review and evaluate grantees receiving Federal transit funds under the Urbanized Area Formula Grant program, 49 U.S.C. 5307, at least once every three years. The Act also provides for FTA to engage contractors to provide technical assistance to the same grantees. These triennial reviews are one of the FTA's management tools for examining grantee performance and adherence to current FTA requirements and policies. Triennial reviews examine how grantees meet statutory and administrative requirements. The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act contains specific acquisition requirements that must be met when using funds appropriated by the Act. Acquisitions must comply with FAR. The current TR contract vehicle is deemed to be in the best interest of the government and in compliance with the goals of the Recovery Act.
