Description
The United States Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Care Administration, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 17 is hereby publishing a Justification and Approval with the intent to award a sole source contract to C R Associates, Inc., 8580 Cinderbed Road, Suite 2400, Newington, VA a veteran owned large business. The North Texas Veterans Health Care System located in Dallas, TX has a Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) located in Bridgeport Texas. This CBOC is currently owned and operated by CR Associates, Inc. Veteran beneficiary patients are treated at this current CBOC. CBOCS allow veteran beneficiaries the ability to receive primary medical care services and ancillary medical care services within their communities allowing them greater access to care and taking away the burden of commuting to the large VA Medical Center as well as shorter waiting periods to receive care. This four month contract award - October 1, 2012 through January 31, 2013 is awarded on the basis of Unusual and Compelling Urgency in accordance with the procedures outlined in FAR 6.302-2. The estimated amount of the awarded contract is $418,000.00. The contract is a firm fixed price indefinite delivery requirements contract since it is not possible to accurately predict the absolute amount of veteran patients seeking care at the Bridgeport CBOC. A Request for Quote/Proposal will not be made available as this is a sole source award.
