Description
The United States Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Care Administration, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 17 is hereby publishing a notice of intent to award a sole source contract to C R Associates, Inc., 8580 Cinderbed Road, Suite 2400, Newington, VA, a veteran owned large business. The North Texas Veterans Health Care System located in Dallas, Texas has a current Community Based Outpatient Clinic to provide primary medical care services and ancillary medical care services to veteran patient beneficiaries within the local Bridgeport, Texas geographical area. Community Based Outpatient Clinics or CBOCS are established within geographical areas that have an established veteran patient population outside of the greater metropolitan areas that larger VA Medical Centers are normally located. CBOCS allow veterans greater access to care and take away the burden of traveling to larger cities often hours from their homes. CBOCS often provide shorter waiting periods to receive care. The Bridgeport, TX CBOC is currently owned and operated by CR Associates, Inc. This four month contract is awarded on the basis of Unusual and Compelling Urgency, FAR 6.302-2. The amount of the contract is an estimated $418,000.00. The contract is a firm fixed priced indefinite delivery requirements contract since it is not possible to accurately predict the absolute amount of veteran patients seeking care at the Bridgeport, TX CBOC. A request for quote/request for proposal will not be made available as this is a direct sole source award to CR Associates, Inc. Direct Patient care cannot be interrupted at any time. This award allows for non-interruption in the healthcare of veteran beneficiaries living within the Bridgeport Texas area.
