- Description
- The U.S. Marshals Service HQ's Office of Procurement, Arlington, Virginia 22202, intends to award on a sole source basis in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, to Pitney Bowes Inc., 1 Elmcroft Road MSC 53-03, Stamford, CT 06926, for the rental of postal meter equipment. Pitney Bowes Inc is the sole provider of the meter equipment. The U.S. Marshals Service are currently in possession and use all of the required equipment throughout 147 nationwide locations, and have personnel trained with the equipment operation and safety. This requirement will be awarded as a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. The North American Industry Classified System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 532210, "Consumer Electronics and Appliances Rental." This is not a request for competitive proposals. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon the responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If you feel your firm possesses the ability to provide the equipment needed, you must respond by demonstrating your firms technical capability to meet the requirement. If no affirmative written response is received, the requirement will be awarded without further notice.
