Description
Sole Source Justification <<SUBJECT>66- PERCIVAL GROWTH CHAMBERS <SOLNBR>100-00761-12 <RESPDATE>09-24-12 <CONTACT>Point of Contact, Regina Dennis, Purchasing Agent, (215)233-6553, fax (215) 233-6485 The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS), Beneficial Insect Introductions Research Unit (BIIRU) in Newark, DE, intends to negotiate solely with Percival in Perry, IA to furnish, deliver (FOB) Destination three Percival Growth Chambers. This order includes: one AR66L2 with C9, WAC2 500uMole Light w/freight; one AR36L2 with C9, WAC2, 500uMole light, w/freight; and a LT66 with C9, WAC2, Q5, w/freight. The instrument will be used to provide a controlled environment with sufficient light for rearing plants and insects in quarantine. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 (current as of FAC 2005-60B), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The NAICS is 334516. The Solicitation number is 100-00761-12 and is issued as a Request For Quotation (RFQ). Companies with the demonstrated capability of providing this equipment must submit a descriptive statement, including descriptive literature, specifically addressing the equipment=s component=s and availability. In the event multiple quotes are received, the quotes will be evaluated on the basis of lowest price, technically acceptable. In order to be considered technically acceptable, the item must meet specifications and compatibility requirements. The statement and literature must be submitted to the Contracting Office Address NLT 09/24/2012. This is not a request for proposal. NO SOLICITATION IS AVAILABLE.
