- The United States Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA) has a requirement for the United States Army Medical Research Institute of Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) for an Anaerobe Chamber and Extended Service Agreement. Once the equipment has been purchased, the Period of Performance for the extended Service Agreement will be a base year with four option years. This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-27. This requirement is set aside as a 100% Small Business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334516. This code shall be listed in your CCR and ORCA in SAM prior to award. This requirement is a Brand Name or Equal. If you are quoting on an equal, you shall submit your product's specification along with quote in order to be considered for this solicitation. If this is not provided, your company will be eliminated from the competition. The following are the Minimum Essential Characteristics for the requirement: Anaerobic Chamber Brand Name or Equal to AS-580 from Anaerobe Systems: The anaerobic chamber will have a palladium oxygen removal catalyst that is self regenerating. The anaerobic chamber will have an air lock pass through system with vacuum-less oxygen removal. The anaerobic chamber will have an interior sliding door for air lock pass through system. The anaerobic chamber will have an automatic condensation removal for chamber work area with drip cup housing and beaker for condensate collection. The anaerobic chamber will have a gloveless design with instant operator entry feature. The anaerobic chamber will have an interchangeable cuff system. The anaerobic chamber will have at least a 550 plate capacity incubator. The environment of the work area of the anaerobic chamber will be room temperature, nonhumid, and controlled separately from the incubator. The anaerobic chamber will have an electronic gas leak detector. The anaerobic chamber will have an overhead light. The anaerobic chamber will have snap in plugs at the end of the sleeves to maintain an oxygen free environment when the chamber is not in use. The anaerobic chamber will maintain a slightly positive pressure to the outside environment. Dimensions: The system footprint should not exceed 70" long x 30" deep x 40" high The anaerobic chamber should not weigh more than 2751bs The system electrical capacity should require no more than 115 Volts, not to exceed 12 amps All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the agency.
