- Description
- In accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, the Federal Bureau of Prisons (FBOP), Field Acquisition Office, in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with National Security Resources, 600 Peachtree Parkway, Suite 112, Cumming, Georgia 30041 for the following equipment: NSR Vision One Access Control 3D Identity Management System. This is not a Request for Proposal or Quote. Please do not request a copy of a solicitation. This announcement constitutes the only notification by the FBOP. The North American Industry Classification System code is 334119 with a small business size standard of 1000 employees. The requirement for the FBOP is the installation, maintenance, and support of 125 NSR Vision One systems at FBOP facilities across the United States. The system will be used to fulfill the FBOP's requirement for a secure access control system. The purchase of the NSR Vision One System includes the following: 3D Biometric Enrollment Stations which include the Vision One camera, camera stand, and light; ActiveID Databases which includes a server; Vision One Identifier Plus Tablet Computers with software that searches the enrollment database for facial recognition; 12 month standard warranty as well as installation, calibration, and operator training; shipping and handling charges; Extended Warranty that includes parts, shipping, labor, and travel. This will be a firm fixed price contract. Any vendor that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement listed. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Be advised that this notice does not constitute an obligation upon the Government to pursue follow-on contract action, in part or whole, with potential vendors. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source acquisition to National Security Resources. All responses shall be submitted to the address below no later than September 19, 2012 at 1:00 pm central standard time.
