Description
The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, Pacific Northwest Forest and Range Experiment Station, intends to acquire by contract the crack fill, fog seal, and re-striping of all parking areas, approximately 3958 square yards. Location: Olympia Forestry Sciences Laboratory, 3625 93rd AVE SW, Olympia, WA 98512. Period for performance is from September 24, 2012, to October 26, 2012. Project Manager is Mr. Robert Avila, Assistant Station Engineer, 360-891-5217. The Forest Service will proceed to issue a solicitation for a commercial service (FAR Part 12) as a Request for Quotes (RFQ) on or about Sept. 12, 2012. This acquisition is 100 percent set-aside for small business concerns. The Forest Service will award a firm fixed-price contract to that responsible Offeror whose proposal, conforming to the solicitation, is fair and reasonable, and has been determined to be the best value to the Forest Service. Offers will be evaluated based upon: price; experience, and past performance. The government estimated value is less than $30,000.00. Service Contract Act wage rates apply to any resulting contract. The proposed contract-type is firm-fixed price. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by the government. In accordance with FAR 4.1102(a), prospective contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract. Lack of registration in the CCR on the part of the offeror will render an offeror ineligible for award. Offerors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 888-227-2423, or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov//. For additional information contact Miley Sutherland, Contracting Officer at 360-956-2471, and Mr. Robert Avila, Assistant Station Engineer, 360-891-5217.
