- Description
- PowerCenter BOM Redacted J&A (PowerCenter) The LDG system is a highly specialized collection of Informatica software which has been accomplishing system performance goals for DLA with unrivaled results. DLA Transaction Services has worked to implement configuration control management-based policies and guidelines to minimize the amount of solutions in our working environment, reducing total cost of ownership. Additionally, DLA Transaction Services is required to follow the DLA One Book reference guide, Information Technology (IT) Solutions document. This document is a Department of Defense initiative to streamline the acquisition and maintenance process and provide best-priced, standards-compliant IT solutions. It is used as a business discipline to coordinate multiple IT investments and leverage the buying power of the government for commercial IT products and services. By consolidating IT requirements and negotiating maintenance agreements with software vendors, DLA realizes significant total cost of ownership on acquisitions and maintenance. All products being procured in this initiative are documented in the IT Solutions document. As a result of reducing the number of different products in its environment, DLA Transaction Services has reduced the number of maintenance contracts to support, reduced maintenance costs through bulk pricing incentives, and consolidated workload onto standard environments resulting in a reduction of infrastructure necessary to support the computing environment.
