Description
The Army Contracting Command, National Capital Region, on behalf of the United States Information Technology Agency (USAITA) intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, to Netfusion, Inc., Brookeville, MD 20833. Netfusion, Inc. will provide ASG -PerfMan CICS TS and ASG-PerfMan DB2 software components, as well as annual maintenance for ASG-PerfMan z/OS software. ASG-PerfMan z/OS provides a complete view of the performance of the z/OS operating environment. The addition of ASG-PerfMan CICS TS grants the ITA Data Center the ability to analyze key current and historical metrics of z/Architecture-based CICS subsystems at the transaction group, workload, and region level. While the ASG-PerfMan DB2 provides similar access views, performance analysis, and capacity planning metrics and reporting for the online DB2 databases. The three pieces of software provide easy chart customization for input to metrics and executive summary reporting. PerfMan is currently in-house and utilized by the Performance Team to provide detailed system performance metrics data to the z/OS Systems Programmers, and metrics reports to the ITA Performance Metrics team. The software is essential in order for USAITA to continue ongoing Operations & Maintenance sustainment. The PoP will be for a base year plus one option period. A failure to continue support or any unacceptable delays would cause duplication of cost to the Government and harm the mission accomplishment, as they are critical to the customer. This action will result in a Firm Fixed Price contract. This Notice of Intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive proposals. There will be no Request for Proposal available for competitive proposals. Phone calls WILL NOT be accepted. Interested parties may express their interest and provide a Capability Statement to the Contract Specialist via email at grant.i.njoku.civ@mail.mil no later than 14 September 2012 at 10:30 am EST. A determination not to compete this proposed contract action upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
