Description
SPECIAL NOTICE - AMENDMENT NO. 1 TESS - Industry Awareness Conference Notification The Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board (FRTIB) plans to issue a final Request for Proposal (RFP) before January 2013, to acquire Technology and Enterprise Support Services (TESS). The TESS acquisition is a F ull and Open Competition whose scope is a full range of information technology (IT) support services for the TSP recordkeeping system, in accordance with the Agency's responsibility to administer the TSP. The primary North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code is 541512. The purpose of this Notification is to inform prospective offerors of the TESS Industry Awareness Conference (Conference) to be held Thursday, October 4, 2012, 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM, with a one-hour break for lunch. The Conference will be held at the Kellogg Conference Hotel, l ocated on the campus of Gallaudet University in Northeast Washington D.C. The address is 800 Florida Avenue NE, Washington DC, 20002. Restaurant facilities and complimentary parking are available on the campus. For more information, go to www.kelloggconferencehotel.com. The Conference is open at no charge to all prospective offerors. However, to reserve your space, you must pre-register for the conference at www.TESS-Industry.com. Please limit your company's participant number to 5. The FRTIB reserves the right to change the number of participants per company depending on Industry response. Based on your pre-registration, you will receive a name badge when you arrive at the Conference location, which will be your pass into the meeting. The FRTIB is an independent Federal agency in the Executive Branch that administers the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP). The TSP is a retirement savings plan for Federal employees; it is similar to the 401(k) plans offered by many private employers. As of July 2012, TSP assets totaled approximately $313 billion, and retirement savings accounts were being maintained for roughly 4.5 million TSP participants. Participants include Federal civilian employees in all branches of Government, employees of the U.S. Postal Service, and members of the uniformed services. Additional information can be found at www.tsp.gov. The FRTIB plans to issue a draft Statement of Work (SOW) prior to the start of the Conference. Participants of the Industry Awareness Conference will hear an overview of the FRTIB, the TSP, the draft SOW, and the information technology environment associated with the TESS acquisition. During the conference, we will not respond to questions, but will provide information about submitting specific, written questions about the draft SOW. The FRTIB plans to issue draft Statements of Work by major IT Service Tower and Recordkeeping Business Process, each containing an Overview of the Services, Description of the Service Environment, Roles and Responsibilities, and Service Level Requirements prior to the start of the Conference. Participants of the Industry Awareness Conference will hear an overview of the FRTIB, the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP), the draft SOW and the information technology environment associated with the TESS acquisition. During the conference, we will not respond to questions, but will provide information about submitting specific, written questions about the draft SOW.
