Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the Internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. Question 1 - Will this awarded be based on Lowest Price Technically Acceptable Answer 1 “ YES Question 2 - What is the required warranty period? Answer 2 - Minimum of 1 yr from purchase is standard. Question 3 - Spec calls for "1.5-2.0 TB ECC RAM". Should quotes only provide the lowest-cost 1.5TB configuration as technically acceptable, or do you also require a separate quote for 2.0TB configuration? Answer 3 “ 1.5TB configuration is considered to be technically acceptable. Question 4 - Spec calls for "Monitor/Key board". Are there any additional specs defining minimum technically acceptable monitor, or will any monitor be sufficient? Answer 4 - No spec on monitor, but flat panel/screens are preferred over old CRT type monitors for space reasons Question 5 - Is a mouse required in addition to the keyboard? Answer 5 - Yes Question 6 “ Is the end user specific with the clock speed and/or cpu model? Answer 6 - CPU model yes. Clock speed no. Question 7 - Can you confirm that "Windows Server 2008 Enterprise Edition" is the minimum technically acceptable edition of required Windows operating-system software Answer 7 “ Yes, Windows Server 2008 that supports ALL the RAM is required. Question 8 “ quantity? Answer 8 “ one Question 9 “ Which CPU model is required? Answer 9 “ Please see the requirements list. Intel Xeon MP processors are listed. The closing time is 7 September 2012 at 12 noon, EST.
