- Description
- The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) intends to award a sole source purchase order to Blackhawk Enterprises Inc. for the purchase of six (6) Vicon Dome Camera Systems for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). These cameras provide traffic data required for FHWA's Turner Fairbank Highway Research Center's testing facility, which is located in McLean, Virginia. Blackhawk is the only known vendor to provide these camera systems for ITS; additionally, they provide a 3 year warranty. The proposed action is for equipment which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All responsible sources may submit a response identifying their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This is a Simplified Acquisition and the total estimated value is not to exceed $17,480; the anticipated award date is in September, 2012.
