Description

PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: SYNOPSIS: This is a pre-solicitation notice. The Government intends to procure commercial item supplies under (FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items) for the Department of Veterans Affairs. The contractor is required to provide all necessary personnel, management, hardware, software, administrative support, travel and technical services to provide Internal and External Marketing Campaign Coordination. PROJECT SCOPE: The Department of Veterans Affairs Central Office (VACO) Library is seeking to replace its current online card catalog system that was implemented in 2004. This system will provide VACO employees desktop access to the Library's book and audiovisual collection and "back office" functions such as circulation, serials control and record maintenance to VACO Library staff. Currently there are 1,289 VACO Library Users, 12,094 Book and Audiovisual records and 208 print subscriptions located on the system. A total of five (5) VACO Staff currently have administrative privileges to the system. ADMINISTRATIVE: This solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) in accordance with FAR Part 12. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 541519, with a small business size standard of $25 million. This requirement will be solicited as a 100% Small Business set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit a quote. The solicitation will be available in FedBizOpps on or about September 4, 2012 at www.fbo.gov. Hard copies of this solicitation will not be available.
