- Special Notice. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6 intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Horcher Lifting Systems, 324 Cypress Rd, Ocala, FL 34472 for preventative maintenance, to include annual strap replacement and weight testing, on the one hundred thirty-three Horcher Patient Ceiling Lifts currently installed at the Durham VAMC, 508 Fulton St, Durham, NC 27705. Service to include emergency service calls with a four hour response time. Award of a firm fixed price contract for a twelve month base period and four twelve month option years is anticipated. Justification for this sole source procurement is in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(b)(1)(i), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. It is the Government's belief that only the proposed candidate possesses the required capabilities to successfully meet this requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However any business that believes it can meet these requirements and possesses relevant past experience and expertise may give written notice to diane.stoskopf@va.gov by 9/7/2012. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement. Responses will be considered by the Government, however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government NAICS Code 423450 / 100. Responses received from responsible sources by 3:00 pm EST on 9/7/2012 will be considered by the Government. Inquiries to be emailed to Diane.stoskopf@va.gov. No telephone request will be accepted.
