- Amendment 001: The purpose of this amendment is to provide the following responses to questions posed by potential offerors: Question 1: I don't see a configuration or serial numbers listed on FedBizOpps. Could you please provide them? Answer: The requested configuration and serial numbers are below: 1st Node License: 32TB Enterprise Gold Version, one year Gold support - Part # ENG32 2nd Cluster Node License: 8TB, one year Gold support - Part # ENG8T Nexenta HA Cluster Plugin License - one year Gold Support - Part # PNHACLUS Nexenta Cloud Archive Plugin License - one year Gold Support - Part # PNCLOUDAR Nexenta Target FC Plug-in license- one year Gold Support - Part # PNTRGTFC Additional 2 years Gold-level support for 32 TB Gold license - Part # SUPENG32TB2 Additional 2 years Gold-level support for 8 TB Gold license Part # SUPENG8TB2 Additional 2-year of Gold-level support for HA Cluster Plug-in. Part # SUPHACLUS2R Additional 2-year of Gold-level support for Cloud Archive Plug-in Part # SUPHACLUS2R Additional 2-year of Gold-level support for Target FC plugin Part # SUPTRGTFC2 REMOTE HIGH-AVAILABILITY BUNDLE - Part # SVCPS_01_02 Question 2: The solicitation states that NIST wishes to utilize existing Dell R710 servers and storage, and the requirement calls for a minimum of 32TB raw storage. Does this mean that NIST will be using 32TB of existing Dell supplied storage, or does NIST require an additional 32TB of raw storage hardware to be provided as part of the response? Answer: NIST will use its existing hardware. No hardware is required. Question 3: If NIST will be using existing Dell storage, could you please provide details regarding this storage such as: model, type and number of host interfaces to be utilized, as well as disk drive size and interface type. Answer: DELL MD1200 with two (2) SAS Management Modules, seven (7) 2TB 7.2K RPM Near-Line SAS 6Gbps 3.5in Hotplug Hard Drive (Dell# 342-0002), and two (2), 200G Solid State Drive SAS 6Gbps 2.5in Hot-plug Hard Drive (Dell# 342-3658). Four SAS 6Gbps host interfaces with be used. Question 4: If NIST requires additional disk storage hardware, are there any specific requirements regarding the physical dimensions, expansion capability, interface type, drive type and capacity? Answer: NIST does not require any additional hardware. Question 5: Existing storage capacity: Please confirm whether new storage will be procured or existing storage will be used. Answers: Existing storage will be used. ** For existing storage, please provide specs (make, model, configuration, capacity on hand, availability, etc). IOPS: Please provide overview of expected storage cluster usage including expected max IOPS (read / write, sequential / random). Answer: The maximum IOPS will be impacted by NIST existing hardware. The expected maximum IOPS is unknown. There is no maximum IOPS requirement. Also, please confirm requirement for: - High availability storage cluster with "active-active" failover - Cloud archive - Muli-path block-level Fiber channel Answer: All ( High availability storage cluster with "active-active" failover (HA), Cloud archive, and multi-pathing block-level Fibre channel target) are required.
