- The change in set-aside strategy posted on Wednesday August 29, 2012 was incorrect and is rescinded. The orginial Set-Aside strategy remains in effect--THE SOLICITATION IS 100% SET-ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS. Since posting of the synopsis, the set-aside category has been updated to the following: "THE SOLICITATION WILL BE 100% SET-ASIDE FOR SERVICE-DISABLED VETERANS-OWNED SMALL BUSINESS (SDVOSB) CONCERNS." The posting of the solicitation is now anticipated to be on or about 30 August 2012. The actual revised response date will be contained in the solicitation. ATTENTION TO OFFERORS BONDING IS NOT REQUIRED FOR THIS SOLICITATION PROOF OF INSURANCE IS REQUIRED FROM THE PRIME CONTRACTOR AT TIME OF PROPOSAL SUBMITTAL. EVIDENCE IN THE FORM OF AN INSURANCE CERTIFICATE AS REQUIRED BY HSAR CLAUSE 3052.228-70 OR A LETTER FROM AN INSURANCE CARRIER STATING THAT, IF THE OFFEROR IS AWARDED A CONTRACT AS A RESULT OF THIS SOLICITATION, THE CARRIER WILL PROVIDE THE REQUIRED INSURANCE COVERAGE WITHIN FIVE (5) DAYS OF CONTRACTOR'S RECEIPT OF NOTICE. IN ADDITION, THIS REQUIREMENT IS GEOGRAPHICALLY RESTRICTED TO LOCAL FIRMS THAT RESIDE IN OR PRIMARLIY DO BUSINESS WITHIN THE FEMA DESIGNATED DECLARED DISASTER AREA COUNTIES AND PARISHES. The U.S. COAST GUARD SHORE INFRASTRUCTURE LOGISTICS CENTER invites you to submit an offer via the Acquisition of Commercial Items procedures (cf. Federal Acquisition Regulation [FAR] Part 12), to provide the following commercial services: All labor, materials, equipment and any other items or services applicable or appropriate for the removal of light debris from the navigable waterways of affected Northern Parishes in Louisiana identified within this solicitation. The government intends to award without discussion. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 562119 applies to this RFP and its size standard is $12.5M. The services are being solicited under Request for Proposal (RFP) Number HSCG84-12-R-VYZ084. There is no site visit for this requirement. Questions shall be submitted electronically, no later than 4p.m. EDT Thursday, July 19, 2012.
