Description
Date: August 30, 2012 Contracting Office: Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support 700 Robbins Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19111 Subject: Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF) Solicitation #: SPM8EH12R0006 Description: The NSN's that are being procured are Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF). AFFF are specially formulated concentrates that can be used on Class B Fires; these are fires caused by crude oil, gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel, and aviation fuel. Depending on the concentration, AFFF can also be used on class A, C, D, and K fires as well. For this acquisition the two types being acquired are 3% and 6% concentration. Each of these concentrations are being acquired in a unit of issue of 5 gallon cans and 55 gallon drums. AFFF comes in a liquid form and can be mixed with either fresh or salt water. There are four NSN's that will be included in this solicitation: - 4210-01-056-8343 6% (Unit of issue is in Cans, 1 Can equals 5 Gallons) - 4210-01-056-0883 6% (Unit of issue is in Drums, 1 Drum equals 55 Gallons) - 4210-01-139-4972 3% (Unit of issue is in Cans, 1 Can equals 5 Gallons) - 4210-01-144-0291 3% (Unit of issue is in Drums, 1 Drum equals 55 Gallons) The performance period for the proposed contract will potentially be five (5) years: a Base Period of two (2) years and three (3) one year Option Periods. 52.217-9 OPTION TO EXTEND THE TERM OF THE CONTRACT (MAR 2000) FAR (a) The Government may extend the term of this contract by written notice to the Contractor within ___3 calendar days__ ; provided that the Government gives the Contractor a preliminary written notice of its intent to extend at least __60 calendar_ days before the contract expires. The preliminary notice does not commit the Government to an extension. (b) If the Government exercises this option, the extended contract shall be considered to include this option clause. (c) The total duration of this contract, including the exercise of any options under this clause, shall not exceed ___5 years___ (months)(years). One or more of the items under this acquisition is subject to the World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement and Free Trade Agreements. Set-aside Status: This Solicitation will be solicited as Unrestricted. A Copy of this solicitation can be obtained through the DLA Internet Bulletin Board System (DIBBS).
