- Description
- The National Park Service (NPS) will issue a Prospectus soliciting for proposals in response to a business opportunity to operate Food and Beverage Service, and related services, within Mojave National Preserve. The NPS will issue the Prospectus beginning Thursday, September 6, 2012, under the terms described in the Prospectus. The existing Concession Contract between the NPS and the existing Concessioner expires on October 31, 2013. The Director, pursuant to 36 C.F.R. Part 51, has determined that the existing Concessioner is a preferred Offeror for the Contract to be awarded. The term of the new Concession Contract will be for five (5) to ten (10) years. Any proposal, including that of the existing Concessioner, must be received by the NPS on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, no later than 4:00 p.m. (Pacific Time) in order to be evaluated and considered for award of a Concession Contract. All proposals must be sent to the following location: National Park Service, Pacific West Regional Office, Commercial Services, Attn: Sue Eibeck, 333 Bush Street, Suite 500, San Francisco, California 94104. There is a printing cost recovery charge of $50 per copy to be delivered via Federal Express or $40 per copy if picked up in person. Check or money orders (no cash or credit cards accepted) must be payable to the National Park Service and you must include a business address (no post office box) to receive a Federal Express package. Prospectus packages will be available by emailing Sue Eibeck, Commercial Services Specialist, Pacific West Region, at sue_eibeck@nps.gov. The Prospectus will also be available AFTER September 6, 2012, on the Commercial Services website at http://concessions.nps.gov/index.htm. If you choose to retrieve a copy of the Prospectus from the NPS website please email Sue Eibeck at the above listed email so you are placed on the mailing list to receive notifications of any future modifications or other correspondence. A one-day site visit is scheduled for Wednesday, September 26, 2012. If you would like to participate in this site visit, you must RSVP to Sue Eibeck for additional information regarding the time and location of the site visit and to reserve a spot. Potential Offerors are encouraged to visit the Concession operation and facilities, however the NPS will perform only one site visit on the date identified above. Finally, all questions must be submitted in writing, via email to Sue Eibeck or to the address listed above no later than October 10, 2012.
