- Description
- AMENDMENT NO. 2, 8/29/2012 extends the due date to August 30, 2012 5:00 pm mtn. time Additional details: Offerors should not need the wiring diagram as we are not asking the offeror to preform any of the connections between the housing and internal components. The solicitation merely requires that the contractor provide bulkhead connectors for the housings. All wiring will be done by PIFSC. The batteries should be fitted with a 4-pin female connector. The electronics/recorder housing should be fitted with an 8-pin connector, and the camera housings should be fitted with a 6-pin connector. PIFSC recommends use of Subconn or Seacon micro-series connectors. The camera housings must be able to accommodate a Prosilica GE type camera with lens. The dimensions of a Prosilica GE camera without lens are 80x51x39 mm. The PC/104 housing must accommodate a 2 or 3-board PC/104 stack plus 2.5" hard drive and power supply. PC/104 boards measure 90.17 × 95.89 mm. End of Amendment No. 2 This is a presolicitation notice is to develop and provide 5 underwater pressure housings for modular stereo-video camera systems as specified for the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The intent of this requirement is for the re-design and fabrication of existing housings for the BotCam system and for the development of additional modular underwater pressure housings that will house the cameras, recording units, and battery systems to support the revised stereo-video system. These housings will improve upon current housings in use by PIFSC and UHM by having a smaller overall form factor, being lighter in weight, and employing and modular system allowing multiple configurations. (See attached) This procurement is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. The associated NAICS code is 334310. The small business size standard is 750 employees. Required delivery time is 1 year ARO.
