Description
For access to this amendment in FedConnect, type in the word "Skilak" and the solicitation along with amendment shall present themselves for review. REMOVE the section within the Scope of Work entitled "Roof Underlayment" and replace with the following three sections: MOISTURE BARRIER: Install high performance roof underlayment as a moisture barrier directly over the existing roof deck and prior to installation of new roof framing members. Materials shall be equal to Owens Corning Deck Defense or DuPont RoofLiner, installed in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. ELASTOMERIC MEMBRANE FLASHING: Self adhering, polyethylene-faced sheet, conforming to ASTM D 1970, 40 mils (1.0 mm) thick minimum, consisting of slip resisting polyethylene-film reinforcing and top surface laminated to SBS-modified asphalt adhesive, with release paper backing, cold applied. Equal to the following products: 1.Carlisle Coatings & Waterproofing, Dri-Start "A" 2.W.R. Grace & Co.; Grace Ice and Water Shield 3.Henry Company, Perma-Seal PE 4.NEI Advanced Composite Technology, AC Poly Ice and StormSeal Apply materials in strict accordance with manufacturer's printed instructions. Membrane shall be applied directly over roof sheathing, from the low point to the high point so that laps shed water. Apply membrane at roof eaves and roof rakes, extending 4'-0" (four feet - zero inches) minimum at eaves and rakes. Apply primer if required by underlayment manufacturer. ROOFING UNDERLAYMENT: Underlayment material shall be fiberglass reinforced felt underlayment, 30 lbs. per 100 square feet, installed over roof sheathing and in accordance with manufacturer's instructions. Underlayment shall be installed to overlap elastomeric membrane flashing so that laps shed water.
