Description
This project seeks as its objective the system design of the Special Operations Force (SOF) Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) enterprise, as applicable to the wing-level Command and Control (C2) and RPA Operations Center (ROC), into a single final deliverable product The 27 Special Operations Squadron, Cannon Air Force Base New Mexico intends to award a sole source fixed-price contract under authority of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.602 and 6.302-1(a)(1)(iii) for the acquisition of an Information Technology RPA Architecture Development documentation. This notice is provided for informational purposes only. This project calls for an integration of the overall requirements of the conventional and Special Operations Forces (SOF) RPA enterprise. The architecture development is applicable to the wing-level Command and Control (C2) and RPA Operations Center. The end-state is a single final deliverable product. The effort is a combined Operational Center incorporating the operational capabilities/requirements of the 33 SOS, 3 SOS, 2 SOS, exploitation, and wing-level Command and Control elements. The contractor must design a final functional architecture that takes into account the full breath of Air Force RPA operations requirements, based upon provided sources documentation, for these units. In designing the functional architecture and related sub-components of the Remote Operations Center a maximum yet feasible level of integration and commonality as directed by Air Force RPA standards and systems must be maintained. The contractor must have more than a fundamental understanding of functions and capabilities of current operational systems or activities so that each node of operation is met or exceeded in the mapped functional/system architecture. This opportunity is available where services are available only from the original source; in this case of a follow-on contract FA4855-08-C-0017 Dragon Operation Center and Guidance Control Station Maintenance support. Nevertheless, any firm that has an objection to this notice may respond to this posting via e-mail only. A determination not to compete the described contract based upon response to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Federal Government. Any questions or comments should be directed to Kenneth Williamson, (kenneth.williamson1@cannon.af.mil)
