Description
The Contracts Department of the Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) San Diego, in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, intends to procure a high temperature manual overhead conveyor system for the Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) Corrosion Control Product Family. The conveyor system will be used to move various shipboard items through ovens and powder coating booths. The first oven preheats the items before applying an electrostatic powder coating at the powder coating booth. The items are then conveyed to a second oven that cures the powder coat and items are checked for proper thickness. This conveyor system will replace the manual transportation system that is currently in use, simplifying the process. The conveyor system must conform to the layout shown in a drawing that will be provided as an attachment to the solicitation. The Contractor will be required to provide and deliver the conveyor system to SWRMC Corrosion Control Product Family located at 3755 Brinser St, STE 1, San Diego, CA 92136. The Contractor will also be required to install the conveyor system, conduct operational testing on the system, and train SWRMC Corrosion Control personnel on how to use the system. A site visit is anticipated for this requirement at the SWRMC facility where the conveyor system will be installed. This procurement is a 100% Small Business Set Aside. A Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) type contract will be awarded for this procurement. Delivery of the conveyor system will be thirty (30) days following Contract Award. The Period of Performance for the installation, operational testing, and training services will be within fifteen (15) days following the delivery of the conveyor system. NOTE: THE SOLICITATION WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD OFF OF THIS WEB SITE ON/AFTER 24 AUGUST 2012.
