Description
Statement of Work (DRAFT) The 673d Contracting Squadron, Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson, Alaska intends to award a Sole Source, Firm-Fixed-Price contract for Urine Analyzer Maintenance in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy any agency requirements. The NAICS Code for this award will be NAICS Code 325413 -, In-Vitro Diagnostic substances, and manufacturing. The intended period of performance is a base period of 12-months and four (1) option period of 12-months. Description of work: The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, test equipment, transportation, regularly scheduled preventive maintenance parts, and other items and services necessary to perform preventive maintenance and calibration (on-site) for the AX-4280 and IQ 200 Urine Analyzers in place at the Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER), Alaska In Accordance With the Draft Statement of Work. Market research was previously conducted and it has been determined that the only known source is Iris Diagnostics due to due to the analyzers using patented technology and proprietary information to obtain diagnostic results. Interested parties are required to submit a capabilities statement outlining the company/team's ability to fulfill all of the requirements as detailed in the attached documents. Capabilities statements shall not exceed 5 pages, and must be submitted on or before 4:00 p.m., Alaska Time, Wednesday, August 29, 2012 to the Contract Specialist, Anastasia L. Atterberry, via e-mail to anastasia.atterberry@elmendorf.af.mil. No telephone requests will be accepted/honored. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No award will be made on the basis of quotes or offers received in response to this notice. Capabilities statements will be considered and the contracting officer will make the determination whether or not competition is in the best interest of the government. The intent of this notice is for informational purposes only.
