- DLA Distribution Susquehanna (DDSP) has a requirement for a contractor to provide the necessary labor, material and equipment for a floor mounted, inclined and elevated tote conveyor. The conveyor shall match with respect to functionality, conveyor speed, height, width, the existing inclined and elevated tote conveyor. The new elevated conveyor shall merge with the existing conveyor and is connected to a crossover conveyor. Programming the PLC will not be included with this acquisition. The Contractor shall furnish, install, integrate, and make operational, the following equipment: a. 1 - Approx. 26 feet of minimal pressure accumulation conveyor with 36 inch accumulating zones b. 1 - 4 foot belt conveyor with 18 inch belt c. 1 - Approx. 60 feet of belt conveyor with 3 foot flat landing area and 18 inch belt d. 1 - Approx. 46 feet of minimal pressure accumulation conveyor with 36 inch accumulating zones e. 1 - 60 degree curve f. All floor mounted conveyor shall be required new floor supports where applicable g. Dimensions must be verified by the vendor in order to ensure accuracy during the site visit. Period of Performance: Contract period will be 120 days from the date of contract award. This acquisition is 100% set aside for small business concerns. All responsible small business concerns may submit a proposal that shall be considered by the agency. The NAICS Code for this procurement is 333922. The small business size standard is 500 people. While this is a non-construction effort, Davis Bacon Act does apply to certain parts of the scope of work. The tentative timeframe for issuance of the Request for Quote (RFQ) SP3300-12-Q-0115 will be on or around September 6, 2012. The solicitation will also establish the RFQ due date and time. A pre-proposal Conference/Site Visit will be conducted. The exact date and time for this conference will be stated in the solicitation package. Access to the solicitation package to include the specifications and drawings will only be made available to prospective offerors via the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website at http: www.fbo.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be distributed. Prospective offerors are cautioned concerning their responsibility to access the FedBizOpps website for any amendments that may be issued under the RFQ. There will be no advance notification of amendment issuance. Prospective offerors are advised to consult the website frequently to check for any amendments. Amendments may be issued up until the proposal due date and must be acknowledged by the contractor. Failure to acknowledge amendments may render your proposal ineligible for award. Any questions concerning this project should be directed to the Contract Specialist Donna Kautz at donna.kautz@dla.mil. All questions should be submitted in writing via email to the above. To receive awards resulting from solicitations issued after May 31, 1998, your company must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database. Prospective contractors shall also complete electronic annual representations and certifications at http://orca.bpn.gov in conjunction with required registration in the CCR database. All responsible small business concerns may submit a quote which shall be considered by this agency. The Government intends to award one purchase order as a result of this RFQ. Award will be made to a single responsible small business offeror using the lowest price technically acceptable source selection process. The RFQ will provide the evaluation factors for award. The RFQ will also identify all information that a prospective offeror must submit in order to be considered for award. Failure to submit all the information requested in the RFQ may result in the quote being eliminated from consideration for award. Also, an offeror must be determined responsible according to the standards of FAR Subpart 9 to be eligible for award.
