Description
CLOSING DATE FOR PRE-SOLICITATION IS 08/31/2012 1:00 P.M. PACIFIC. QUESTIONS/ANSWERS: 1. It mentions two locations, can you state where those locations are and approximate shooting dates for the locations? At what locations with the video taping be conducted? Answer : we do not know exactly where the filming will take place. Based on who our industry partners are, and our experience filming our other 4 videos, potential contractors should use the following locations for planning purposes (two trips per video): • Well servicing video - West Texas and Western Colorado (Fall of 2012 and Winter 2012/2013) • Drilling video - West Texas and Northwestern North Dakota (Dates in 2013 to be Determined) 1. 1. When it states we will provide our own safety equipment: "The contractor is required to provide all of the equipment necessary to carry out this work including all personal protective equipment required at oil and gas well sites," 2. Is the protective equipment something we will have to purchase, if we are awarded the bid? or is it available to rent for the days of the shoot? The safety equipment required at oil and gas sites is not available for rent that I am aware of. So, the contractor will be required to purchase their own safety equipment. That includes fire resistant clothing (pants, long sleeve shirt), hard toe boots that cover the ankle, hard hat, safety glasses, and ear plugs or muffs. One set of safety equipment will cost approximately $500 per person. 2. "2. Complete all training required to visit oil and gas well sites: SafeLand training is required; additional training will be available on site." Please refer training questions to the SafeLand website. Yes, there is a cost for the training, and no, it can't be completed on-line. SafeLand training is required before any filming can begin. Contractors should be able to get the SafeLand training for $200 per person. In addition to SafeLand, on-site, company-specific training will be provided by the company that we are working with when we arrive on-site. 3. Is there a cost involved for the SafeLand Training and is that training needed prior to arrival, or can that be completed onsite the day of the shoot? See Above
