Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The California Army National Guard has a requirement for tire removal and pick up and disposal of unserviceable tires from 11 different locations. The locations are as follows: Stockton, Bakersfield, Fresno (2 different locations in Fresno), Santa Rosa, Camp Roberts in Paso Robles near San Miguel, San Luis Obispo, Long Beach, San Diego, Fort Irwin (near Barstow), and Barstow. This is a request for quotes. Unserviceable tires are to be removed within 21 days of notification to the vendor. Tires will be stacked without regard to size or degree of serviceability. Approximately 167 tons of tires will be required to be picked up during the initial year, and the contract will cover a time period of one year followed by 2 option years. The choice to exercise the option year will be solely at the discretion of the Government. Quotes are to be priced per ton of tires removed, and each of the 3 years (initial year and 2 option years) is to be priced. The following FAR and DFAR clauses and provisions are hereby incorporated into this solicitation: 52.204-7 Central Contractor Registration; 52.222-41 Service Contract Act of 1965; 52.232-33 Payment by Electronic Funds Transfer-Central Contractor Registration; 52.233-3 Protest After Award; 52.233-4 Applicable Law for Breach of Contract Claim; 52.249-4 Termination for Convenience of Government; 52.249-8 Default (supply and services); 52.252-2 Clauses Incorporated by Reference; 252.232-7003 Electronic Submission of Payment Requests and Receiving Reports. The basis for contract award will be price and overall cost to the Government. Simplified acquisition procedures will be used. Vendors must be registered or be able to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR).
