- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE only. Responses to this notice will be used for information and planning purposes. No proposals are being requested or accepted with this notice. This notice shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation on the part of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). Responses to this sources sought is not a request to be added to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation. The VA Texas Valley Coastal Bend Health Care System (TVCBHCS) is seeking sources to provide all resources necessary to fabricate and repair Fixed and Partial Dental Removable Prosthesis and fabricate and repair Fixed Dental Restorations for an anticipated period not to exceed twelve months. Currently TVCBHCS has dental clinics in Harlingen, Corpus Christi and Laredo, Texas. The Contractor's dental laboratories must be within a 60 mile radius of the VA ordering clinic to accommodate the short turnaround times. The Department is also obtaining information regarding (1) the availability and capability of qualified small business sources; (2) whether they are Small Business, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, Veteran Owned, Hub Zone 8(a), women-Owned, or small disadvantaged business concerns; and (3) their size classification relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for the proposed acquisition. Your responses to the information requested will assist the Government in determining the appropriate acquisition method, including whether a set-aside is possible. Small business concerns shall be capable of providing the necessary equipment and personnel to furnish service in the volume required for all the items under this contract. Contractor shall meet all requirements of Federal, State, or City codes regarding operations of this type of service. The NAICS code is 339116 -Dental Laboratories (Size Standard: 500 employees). Potential offerors having the skills, experience, professional qualifications, and capabilities necessary to perform the described requirement are invited to provide a capabilities statement via e-mail with the words "TVCBHCS Dental Lab Sources Sought Response" in the subject line. The Capability statements shall not exceed three (3) pages and must include the following: 1) Company name and Point of Contact information (address, telephone, e-mail, web-site, etc.); 2) DUNS number and CAGE code; 3) Small Business Size/Certification (to include 8(a), HUB Zone, SDVOSB, etc.); and (4) Familiarity and product knowledge. Interested parties must be registered in Central Contractor Registration as prescribed in FAR Clause 52.204-7 for responses to be valid. If claiming SDVOSB and VOSB, firm must be registered and verified in VetBiz Registry (www.vetbiz.gov). No phone calls will be accepted. Respondents may submit their responses to marco.bazan@va.gov. These responses are due no later than 4:00, August 23, 2012. All responses will be used to determine the appropriate acquisition strategy for a potential future acquisition. Responses are strictly voluntary; no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this. The government reserves the right to ask follow-up questions and engage in discussions with each respondent as part of the market research effort. All information received in response to this source sought notice that is marked as propriety will be handled accordingly.
