- Synopsis: Sources Sought only. This is not a request for formal proposals or quotes. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. Seeking Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), 8-A, Hub Zone, Small Disadvantaged, Woman Owned Small Business to procure a Cirrus HD OCT (referred to as OCT) is requested by the Ophthalmology Department at the Northport VA Medical Center. Some characteristics of procuring this equipment includes the following: Support the Mission Statement of the VA Provide Standard of Care with state of the art technology Improve Accuracy Improve Speed Improve Reliability Accurate comparisons to previous studies to assess progress Thinner cuts of the pathology avoiding false negative studies Outcome measures for the Cirrus HD OCT will include the following: It can identify the smallest changes in the eye. It tracts changes over time: recognizing retinal changes, and places the scan in the same location to identify those changes. Allows segmentation of retinal layers 40,000 A scans/ Sec, as opposed to 25,000 A scans/ Sec- Compensates for patient eye movement Tasks/Project Specifications: The OCT is wheeled, making it mobile, able to be used in any room available. Additionally, the footprint of the OCT is compact so that is not a cumbersome piece of equipment. The Cirrus HD OCT has the following characteristics: Simultaneous dual beam imaging Automatic rescan feature 40,000 A scans per second Image averaging up to 100x Peripheral OCT and wide field imaging Vendors need to email company information, i.e., name, address, point of contact, telephone number, fax number, DUNS #, email address, and company status (service disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, 8-A business, Hubzone business, small disadvantaged business, women-owned, small business a) to gregory.vogt@med.va.gov.
