Description
The synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is a single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access the information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. Modification 0001 is being issued to answers questions received on the subject synopsis N00178-12-Q-4642: Question 1: Is camera No. 1 an Intensified CCD camera or non-intensified CCD camera? Answer 1: To my knowledge, there are no 18 mm image intensifiers made with photocathodes on an input window/substrate with transmission down to 120 nm. Could this be a typographical error and you meant 220 nm which is the cutoff of most UV transmitting windows and substrates. If this is for an Intensified CCD then you must have an intensifier in front of the CCD which is the first sensor to see the UV light. Could you please expand on this and clarify if possible. **** 18mm ICCD cameras do exist with useful photocathode spectral range down to 120nm. We need the photocathode spectral range down to 120nm to capture atomic emissions of interest in UV light range.. Question 2: You do not have any specification for Gain of the Intensifiers. Was this intentional? Do you have a gain specification?
