Description

The Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry / Surveillance and Registries Branch and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to modify Contract Number 200-2011-40830 dated 9/23/2011 for establishing of a protocol and conducting a pilot effort for a biorepository of Amotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) specimens. The contract expiration date is 9/22/2015. Based on the recommendation of the scientific panel (prominent biorepository experts from around the United States), the purpose of this modification will be to: 1)increase the biological specimens from 150 to 300, 2) increase the number of sample types, and 3) collect specimens from each participant two (2) times 6 months apart. The statement of work is changed to include the expert panel recommendation. The general scope of work has not changed. The contractor for this requirement is McKing Consulting Corporation, 2810 Old Lee Hwy Ste 300, Fairfax, VA 22031-4376. No Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued based upon this Notice. Interested organizations are encouraged to identify themselves and provide a written notice to the Contract Specialist, Ms. Wikiki Henton via email at kfv5@cdc.gov with the solicitation number (2012-51692) referenced in the subject line, no later than this Notice response due date.
