- Synopsis: Sources Sought No. W912NW-12-R-2012-1 Project Title: Roof Air Make-up unit Replacement's, for the Corpus Christi Army Depot, Corpus Christi, Texas. Corpus Christi Army Depot, Corpus Christi, Texas has a requirement for the above subject. This is not a Solicitation Announcement and is not a Request for Proposals; THERE WILL NOT BE A SOLICITATION, SPECIFICATIONS, OR DRAWINGS AVAILABLE; and does not obligate the Government to any contract award. The purpose of this Sources Sought synopsis is to determine interest and capability of potential qualified Small Business Administration (SBA) certified: 8(a), Hubzone, and Service Disabled Veteran-Owned firms relative to the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) 333412(Industrial and Commercial Fan and Blower, fan and Air Circulators ). The Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees. The Government will use responses to this sources sought synopsis to make an appropriate acquisition decision about soliciting this project as either a competitive Set-Aside for Service Disabled-Veteran Owned firms, 8(a) firms, or HubZone firms; or to proceed with full and open competition as Unrestricted. NAICS Code 333412- Roof Air Make-up unit Replacement's: To be considered small for purpose of Government procurement, a firm must perform at least 50 percent of the volume of the Manufacturing with its own equipment or another small Manufacturing concern. Award of a Firm Fixed Price Contract consisting of Furnishing and Installing. Work will be performed within the area of jurisdiction of the Corpus Christi Army Depot, Corpus Christi, Texas PROJECT INFORMATION: Eleven air make-up units (AMU) on Bldg 340 roof are to be replaced. These units serve as part of the industrial hygiene ventilation needs of the building by providing forced ventilation make-up air replacing that withdrawn from the operating area via the individual tank fume capture exhaust systems and other building exhaust systems. The existing roof ductwork will be maintained as is. The building air diffusion system (air diffusers) for each AMU unit has deteriorated and will be replaced. A two week or less period of roof work once the AMU units are received is the target from work commencement to completion. Additionally, two wall exhaust fans will be installed in the oven room area to assist in ventilation and temperature regulation of this area as the ovens give off substantial heat and the room becomes excessively hot especially in summer months. Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) at Corpus Christi, TX. (SEE ATTACHED STATEMENT OF WORK) The following information is required: 1. State if your firm is a Small Business Administration (SBA) certified 8(a) or Hubzone, or if it is Service Disabled Veteran-Owned. Proof of SBA certification/documentation shall be provided with this response. 3. Provide a letter from your surety identifying single contract bonding limit and aggregate contract bonding capability. 4. Please indicate whether your firm will submit a bid for this project if this project is set-aside for certified 8(a), Hubzone, or Service Disabled Veteran-Owned small business. 5. Qualifications: Responses to this sources sought synopsis shall indicate specialized experience in hopper, pipeline and mechanical dredging. 6. Firms submitting responses shall present their information in a matrix format showing relevant contracts that they have performed which are similar in scope. The matrix shall show the most recent, up to five contracts, that prove you can meet each qualification criteria listed above. Include project number, project location, description of work requirements, and point of contact and phone number for each effort. 7. Will Firms be willing to submit two separate proposal each proposal outlining different AMU corrosion control methods or materials for methods of Corrosion protection outlined in Section 13.13 of the attached Statement of Work. 8. Will firms identify which of the instrumentation sensors that they will be able to provided?
