- Background. In the summer of 2010, PBHCC suggested to SAMHSA that people in the Pacific region could better and less expensively provide behavioral health training in the region, training that has been done by SAMHSA staff and contractors traveling to the region for the trainings and then returning to the continental United States. In 2011, PBHCC and the SAMHSA Workgroup on the Pacific Jurisdictions developed the Master Trainer Development Program (MTDP) that was launched in Guam in March 2012, to address this issue. In Year One, the Jurisdictions named 17 MTDP trainer candidates who will have completed host sites and an in-region conference by September 30, 2012. Purpose and Objectives. The purpose of this effort is to identify sources to plan, implement and monitor the continued efforts of the Master Trainer Development Program (MTDP) activities consisting of continued coordination of training sessions led by the MTDP trainer candidates, ongoing mentoring/monitoring of the trainer candidates, and continuous collaboration with the Pacific region community colleges on the expansion of the behavioral health education coursework, to ensure continued practitioners and students in the Pacific regions Anticipated period of performance. The period of performance for this requirement will from date award on or before September 30, 2012 through September 29, 2013. Other important considerations. None. Capability statement /information sought. All interested potential offerors should respond in writing and provide the following information: a. Staff expertise, including their availability, experience, and formal and other training b. Technical approach and capacity to perform the work c. Prior completed projects of similar nature d. Corporate experience and management capability e. 3-5 examples of prior completed Government contracts, references, and other related information;
