Description

In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 5.201(b)(1)(i), this is a notice of the West Palm Beach Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center's intent to enter into a sole source contract with Nuance Communications Inc. to provide licensing and software support for the Nuance PowerScribe system at the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center from August 20, 2012 through August 19, 2013 plus four one year options. This action is authorized by FAR 6.302-1: only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This action is necessary due to the proprietary nature of the PowerScribe software. Responses are not being solicited to this notice. Any comments should be submitted by August 19,2012 to eric.sullivan2@va.gov.
