Description
NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Naval Medical Logistics Command intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Philips Electronics North America Corporation, 3000 Minuteman RD, Andover, MA 01810-1032, as the only responsible source that can provide preventative, emergency and corrective maintenance to Philips imaging equipment in various parts of Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, Portsmouth, VA. This acquisition is being conducted under FAR 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. Provision and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circulator 2005-60 are incorporated. The Naval Medical Logistics Command has a requirement for a patient monitoring maintenance contract in Support of Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth, VA. The requirement is for a patient monitoring maintenance contract. The maintenance contract shall provide for technical and material support for imaging equipment located in various locations throughout the Naval Medical Center, Portsmouth, VA. The Contractor shall maintain the equipment within the original manufacturer ™s specifications, in accordance with Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations, U.S. Navy Regulations, instructions, and Joint Commission requirements. Maintenance includes regularly scheduled preventive maintenance, inspections, calibrations, and corrective maintenance tasks, and unlimited emergency repair action. There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 811219 with a Small Business Size Standard of $19.0 Million Dollars. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data,, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product. All capability statements received by closing of this notification of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Based on the above information, the only technically acceptable system is provided by Philips Electronics North America Corporation, dba Philips Healthcare, a division of Penac.
