Description

Justification for brand name Appian software maintenance Solicitation HC1028-12-R-0101 DISA/DITCO intends to issue a contract for a follow-on procurement effort to renew the expiring software licensing and maintenance support for Appian Enterprise software products. Appian Corporation has proprietary rights to the software code for the Appian software products associated with this requirement and is the only known source, along with its authorized resellers, that can provide this maintenance support. No other vendor or distributor can legally obtain access to the software, and no other vendor can make duplicate copies since it is protected by copyright and patent laws. The period of performance will be from 01 October 2012 through 30 September 2013. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 U.S.C. § 2304(c)(1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Companies who can provide the above listed software maintenance renewal must complete a copy of the solicitation and return it via email to lynn.m.buss.civ@mail.mil. Responses are due by 2:00 P.M. (Central Time) on 21 August 2012. The resultant contract will be firm fixed price. All responsible sources may submit a proposal that will be considered. The NAICS code is 541519 for this procurement.
