- Description
- The Acquisition Management Division, National Institute of Standards and Technology, Gaithersburg, MD 20899 intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to construct a 2-ton capacity overhead bridge crane and hoist in Building 218, Room E024, National Institute of Standards and Technology, Gaithersburg, MD. To the greatest extent possible, the crane will be constructed out of non-ferrous materials. The contractor shall provide all labor, material, and equipment to perform crane construction and testing, as specified in the construction documents and specifications. The solicitation will be issued as a 100% small business set-aside. The government intends to award to the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable offeror and award a Firm-fixed price contract. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 333923 (Overhead Traveling Crane, Hoist, and Monorail System Manufacturing) and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The entire solicitation,SB1341-12-RP-0047 will be made available on the Government Point of Entry (GPE), Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ on or about Aug 31, 2012.
