Description
RFQ NMFS AKR-12-0816 for ShoreZone mapping services of Bristol Bay and Kotzebue Sound, Alaska and part of the Alaska Peninsula. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the contractor to provide NOAA National Marine Fisheries, Alaska Region ShoreZone mapping services of Bristol Bay and Kotzebue Sound, Alaska and part of the Alaska Peninsula as an option item depending on the availability of funds per the attached statement of work (SOW) in the request for quote RFQ NMFS AKR-12-0816 prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 13. This is a small business set aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 541370. The objective of this contract between NMFS Alaska Region and the successful contractor is to obtain the services of a contractor to map the biophysical resources of the coastal supratidal, intertidal, and subtidal areas in Bristol Bay, Alaska and in Kotzebue Sound, Alaska. A secondary objective is to map the areas of high risk to sea level rise and other possible climate change impacts such as storm surges. This work is needed to support NMFS mandates for environmental review and interagency consultation under the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act and other laws and to meet the obligations of an interagency agreement with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. NOAA NMFS Alaska Regional Acquisition Division, requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM).
