- THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTIFICATION. In no way should it be construed to be an announcement of a solicitation or a solicitation. The purpose of this announcement is to seek from industry possible solutions to the required Army action. The Army is seeking these items for use by their 323d Army Band. The items are described below: One (1) DRUM MAJOR'S REGALIA MACE and carrying case. 58" Stave, Brown Malacca cane shaft, nickel fittings, double crossed chains, long ferrule, brass Mace head, nickel plated. A silver color mace, head engraved on the dome with an image of a medical cross embellished by a lone star, encircling the head-shaft a border scroll engraved "323d ARMY BAND FT. SAM's OWN" and encircling the top part of the shaft are a pair of cannons in saltire, a representation of the Clock Tower in the Quadrangle. One (1) DRUM MAJOR'S BALDRIC and carrying case. Fully embroidered using silver and gold bullion threads and colored silks on a dark blue field with white/silver fringe borders with two drum sticks attached; arched above a gray representation of the Clock Tower with two black cannons outlined in silver gray in saltire, a white lone star embellished with a medical cross above it. Below the tower a French horn in silver gray with the innards in the shape of A5 in scarlet, a scarlet ribbon scroll folded back on itself turned blue inscribed "323d ARMY BAND" in white letters. Below the horn a scarlet ribbon scroll folded back on itself turned blue inscribed "FT. SAM'S OWN" in white letters. At the bottom a flourish repeated eight times with a connecting oval hoop all in scarlet. One (1) TABBARD Fully embroidered on a dark blue field with white/silver gray fringe at sides and bottom; in front of a pair of black gray cannons outlined in silver gray in saltire, a silver gray representation of the Clock Tower with a white lone star embellished with a red medical cross. Arched above a red scroll inscribed,"323d ARMY BAND", and arched in base "FT. SAM'S OWN" in white letters. NOTE: THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION Respond to this Sources Sought Notification: Interested parties should send a brief description of their ability to meet the above requirement. Interested parties are further invited to comment on Sources Sought notification to identify any possible obstacles to successfully completing the requirements of the United States Army in this matter.
