Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The California Army National Guard has a requirement to purchase the following: 30,000 pounds of a sandblasting material known as Magic Nanocomposite Type 8 30/60 Mil Spec, for use in blasting and stripping paint from aircraft. The contractor/vendor must also provide approved receycling of used media. In addition, the material must be approved for use on Boeing aircraft in Boeing D-210 document, and the contractor must provide training and certification for sandblast operators. The delivery location for the material is in Fresno, CA zip code 93727. Delivery time frame for the sandblasting material needs to be within 30 days after receipt of the awarded contract. This is a request for quote, and the following FAR and DFAR clauses are hereby incorporated: 52.204-7 Central Contractor Registration; 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items; 252.212-7001 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Applicable to Defense Acquisition of Commercial Items; 252.232-7003 Electronic Submission of Payment Requests and Receiving Reports. Simplified acquisition procedures will be utilized. The basis for contract award will be price and overall total cost to the Government. All vendors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Quotes must include the cost for shipping of the material to Fresno, CA, if any. The preferred method for submitting a quote is via e-mail to the Procurement Technician, Jeannie Thornton at jeannie.r.thornton@us.army.mil. Faxed quotes will also be accepted at fax number 805-594-6348. All quotes are due by 10:00 am PST on September 6, 2012 in order to be considered.
