- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number N68836-12-T-0347 is issued as a request for quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the latest edition of the Federal Acquisition Circular. This solicitation is issued on a Sole Source basis, NAICS Code 336611; The USS The Sullivans requires the following habitability work: Statement of Work USS THE SULLIVANS (DDG 68) Habitability Work Our ship is 15 years old and has some serious material conditions that need to be corrected. Below is a list of jobs that we would like to be replaced and accomplished. I will provide you a tour so you can provide an estimate on what the jobs will cost. We will then submit that to contracting as a quote needed to get the contract awarded. 1)Build or purchase and install one single and one double trash receptacle for the mess decks. We no longer have trash receptacles on our crew ™s mess decks. 2)Reconstruct or build the Wardroom table back to its original configuration according to the way it was originally built. The table was modified several years ago. It takes up too much space, it is flimsy, and is very uncomfortable for meals and meetings. 3)The Wardroom cabinets (3) are extremely worn. The drawers are no longer on tracks and they do not stay closed while underway. The buttons are broken off and the laminate covering is torn off in many places. There are cracks that are permitting water intrusion which further deteriorates the structure of the cabinets. The cabinets need to be replaced with basic Navy standard cabinets. 4)The XO ™s stateroom has carpet that is extremely threadbare. There is a huge hole all the way through to the deck in the middle of the room. The carpet needs to be replaced. 5)The CO ™s desk is not a real desk but rather 2 tables put together to form a desk. As a result, there is no leg room underneath the desk. The tabletop is also very worn and not presentable. We will need you to replace the tables with an œL shaped desk. Govt.
