- Industry Day Presentation AMENDMENT 1 - This notice is being amended to include the slide presentation from the DHS Uniform Industry Day. Further amendments will be published to address questions and other issues related to the effort. In addition, this notice will identify the forthcoming RFP number for the DHS Contract. **************************************************************************** The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will conduct a briefing to industry (hereinafter "Industry Day") as preparation for a strategically sourced contract for all uniforms for the agency. The Industry Day will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at the Ronald Reagan Building at 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue NW in Washington, DC. The event will take place from 9:00am - 5:00pm in the building Atrium on the Concourse Level (graphic of the building is listed as Attachment 1 to this notice). Visitors require identification with picture in order to enter the Ronald Reagan Building. Visitors should arrive at least one prior to the meeting (9:00 am) prior to the meeting time (10:00 am) to allow ample time to clear security. This announcement serves as a planning notice for Industry Day and is issued solely for information and program planning purposes. The Industry Day does not constitute a formal solicitation for proposals or proposal abstracts. Attendance at the Industry Day is voluntary and DHS will not provide reimbursement for any costs incurred to participate in this Industry Day. The goals of this meeting are: 1) to familiarize vendors with the DHS requirement for Uniforms; 2) for the Government to gain feedback on the feasibility of the DHS objectives and approach, 3) to promote understanding of the potential award requirements among potential offerors, 4) to promote discussion among potential program participants (offerors/vendors): and 5) provide an open forum for vendor's questions and answers (from the Government). Additionally, the session will include a discussion of trade agreements (e.g. "Buy American", "the Kissel Amendment" etc...) that will be applicable to any potential contract. A Request for Proposal for the DHS Uniform requirements will be released after the inputs are received at Industry Day. Information on the potential DHS solicitation will be posted on the Federal Business Opportunities website within 90 days following the Industry Day. Federal Business Opportunities will also include the presentations from the Industry Day and post the questions and responses from the Industry Day. REGISTRATION INFORMATION: Participants must register for the DHS Industry Day no later than 4:00 pm EST on Tuesday 17 July 2012. In order to register, the registration form listed as Attachment 2 to this notice must be completed and provided to the following Points of Contact: Rick Travis @ email: richard.travis@dhs.gov or Matt Korn @ matthew.korn@dhs.gov. Note: phone requests will NOT be honored. Attendance will be limited to a maximum of two individuals per organization. (Note that the Industry Day is intended for participants from industry; it is not intended for parties who are not interested in proposing or participating on a team that is interested in submitting a proposal, e.g. the public or members of the press. Government attendees will be invited separately.) If questions are available prior to Industry Day, please email the aforementioned points of contact. Samples of clothing items will be on display for viewing purposes only. Organizations interested in information which may be provided at Industry Day but are not able to attend the Industry Day may still provide their contact information to aforementioned points of contacts.
