- Description
- 17th Contracting Squadron, Goodfellow AFB, Texas, intends to issue a solicitation for Corrosion Control (Painting Exterior) of Water Towers, Facility 738 and 3475. Contractor shall furnish all layout, survey, plant, labor, transportation, supervision, quality control, materials, equipment, machines, tools, appliances, services, supplies, and incidentals necessary for performing all operations in connection with project JCUU 10-1092, Corrosion Control (Painting Exterior) of Water Towers, work at Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas; complete and in strict accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW), drawings (Technical Exhibits) and all applicable codes, regulations, standards, and criteria in effect at the date of solicitation. Note: This is only exterior paint work; no interior painting will be performed. This solicitation will be issued as an Invitation for Bid (IFB). This solicitation is being issued as 100% Competitive Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238320 and the small business size standard is $14 Million. The magnitude of the project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.00. Performance period will be 90 days from the notice to proceed. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the agency. The entire solicitation will be made available on the Fedbizops website at http://www.fbo.gov/ on or about 08 Aug 12. The site visit will be held on or about 22 Aug 12, all bidders are urged and expected to inspect the site where the work will be performed. Access to the site will be limited to the organized site visit only. The bid due date will be on or about 07 Sep 12. The exact date and time of the site visit and bid due date will be stated in the solicitation. The Government contemplates award of a Firm Fixed-Price contract to the responsible offeror whose bid conforms to the requirements of the solicitation and is most advantageous to the Government. Contractors must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) as prescribed in DFARS 252.204-7004 in order to receive award. CCR information can be obtained at www.sam.gov or calling 1-888-227-2423. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be provided. In accordance with 52.215-1 Mailed, faxed and hand-delivered bids will be honored; emailed bids will not be accepted. Once the solicitation is posted, it is incumbent upon the interested parties to review this site frequently for any updates/amendments to any and all documents.
