- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.The solicitation number is N4223713RC003X2 and is issued as an invitation for bids (IFB), unless otherwise indicated herein.The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 2005-58. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 711130 with a small business size standard of $7.00M.This requirement is a [ Small Business ] set-aside and only qualified offerors may submit bids.The solicitation pricing on www.FedBid.com will start on the date this solicitation is posted and will end on 2012-08-10 11:30:00.0 Eastern Time or as otherwise displayed at www.FedBid.com.FOB Destination shall be Multiple shipping information. The FLC - Jacksonville requires the following items, Meet or Exceed, to the following: LI 001, ACCOMPANIST FOR CATHOLIC MASS AND ASST LIFETEEN BAND DIRECTOR FOR MASS SCOPE: The contractor shall perform the services of Catholic Chapel Accompanist /Lifeteen Band Director at the Naval Submarine Base Chapel, Kings Bay, GA. The requirements for this service are as follows: NOTE: Each meeting or session equates to one each as specified above for payment purposes. 1. ITEM 0001 - ACCOMPANIST FOR CATHOLIC MASS AND ASST LIFETEEN BAND DIRECTOR FOR MASS - The accompanist for Saturday Catholic services is responsible for providing appropriate musical accompaniment for Chapel programs; including congregational singing, choir specials, special music solos. Also, the contractor shall be responsible for providing postlude, prelude and offertory music at scheduled Chapel services. The Chapel Program includes the following sessions: a.Fifty-two (52) Saturday evening Masses, to include assisting with LifeTeen Mass once a month in lieu of regular Saturday Mass. b.Twenty-six (26) Life Teen Band rehearsals. 2.1DUTIES - The Accompanist for Saturday Mass shall: a. Serve as a professional resource person to Chaplains and choir directors. b. Work in conjunction with Chaplains to bring innovative means of worship before the congregation. c. Be sensitive to the musical interests of the respective faith group and will provide music to reflect those needs. d. Work under the guidance of the choir director and the command chaplain. e. Participate in Saturday Mass scheduled at 1700 Saturday evenings for minimum of one (1) hour. f. Conduct Life Teen band rehearsal for one hour bi-Weekly on Saturday evenings. g. Report status of ongoing projects and plans for completion of upcoming programs to the Contract Monitor as requested. Such reports to be oral or in writing at the discretion of the Contract Monitor. All reports and services provided must be acceptable to the Contract Monitor. 2.2 Qualification Requirements - The Accompanist for Catholic Mass and Asst Life Teen Band Director shall: a.Have organ or piano experience, may have knowledge of guitar. b. Applicant must have served for a minimum of four (4) years as an accompanist in a religious community. Accompanist must be experienced and proficient in playing the various types of religious music, including but not limited to traditional hymns, contemporary and gospel music. c. Have the ability to accompany soloists and provide musicals/recitals as requested. 3.Contractor shall be responsible to provide a suitable substitute of comparable ability in the event the contractor is unable to provide contracted services. The contractor shall be responsible for paying substitute. 4.Necessary working supplies, order of new music, meeting spaces, and equipment required to perform the contract will be provided by the Chapel. PERIOD OF PERFORMANCEFROM: 12 OCT 01 TO: 13 SEP 30, 1, EA; Solicitation and Buy Attachments ***Question Submission: Interested offerors must submit any questions concerning the solicitation at the earliest time possible to enable the Buyer to respond. Questions not received within a reasonable time prior to close of the solicitation may not be considered.*** For this solicitation, FLC - Jacksonville intends to conduct an online competitive reverse auction to be facilitated by the third-party reverse auction provider, FedBid, Inc. FedBid has developed an online, anonymous, browser based application to conduct the reverse auction. An Offeror may submit a series of pricing bids, which descend in price during the specified period of time for the aforementioned reverse auction. FLC - Jacksonville is taking this action in an effort to improve both vendor access and awareness of requests and the agency's ability to gather multiple, competed, real-time bids.All responsible Offerors that respond to this solicitation MUST submit the pricing portion of their bid using the online exchange located at www.FedBid.com.
