- Description
- U. S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) anticipates contracting on a sole source requirement with LifePort, 1795 Howard Way, Woodland, WA 98674, a purchase order, for spare LifePort Lithium Ion Battery protection BPS(ballastic protection system) panels and hardware. The proposed action is for parts for which the Government does not own specifications and drawings, thus making full and open competition impracticable if not impossible due to the expense of acquiring the rights to this data even if the owners of the data were willing to sell the rights to the technical data. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority FAR 6.302-1. Firms that feel they can provide this service are encouraged to identify themselves. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposal, however, the Government will consider all proposals received by the specified due date (in accordance with FAR 5.203(a)). A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition is solely within the discretion of the Government.
