Description
THIS NOTICE IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (NCCDPHP), Division of Reproductive Health contemplates award of a Firm Fixed Price Sole Source Contract to the Florida Department of Health, Tallahassee, FL. The work shall be performed at the Contractor's facility. The Period of Performance shall be from September 10, 2012 through September 09, 2014. The North American Industrial Classification Standards (NAICS) Code is 923120. The sole source award will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 13.106(b)(1); only one source is reasonably available that will satisfy agency requirement. The purpose of this acquisition is to expand the linkage of assisted reproductive technology (ART) data with vital records from the state of Florida. The ART Linkage Project will be expanded to include linkage with the cancer registries and researching the feasibility of linking All-Payer Claims Data with CDC's ART data files. Florida Department of Health has proprietary rights to the data necessary to ascertain the maternal and child health outcomes of assisted reproductive technology among its residents. As a result no other parties can provided the required services. CDC is not requesting competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Firms that believe they can provide the services required are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notification to the Contracting Officer no later than 2:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, by August 19, 2012. Determination not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Respondents will assume all financial costs for preparing a response to this notice. The U.S. Government assumes no financial obligation for the preparation and distribution of prepared responses.
