Description
Statement of Work - Refurbishment of Bronze Doors, handrails, posts and decorative window grills. Davis Bacon Wage Determination - DC Standard Form 1442 - Solicitation Document This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number RFQ #SA1301-12-RP-0059 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). This solicitation is being conducted under FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP); FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Part 36, Construction and Architect-Engineer Contracts. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-56, effective March 02, 2012. The NAICS Code is 238190, and the Small Business size standard is $14.0 Million. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. This requirement is subject to the Service Contract Act and will include the appropriate Department of Labor Wage Determinations. The Government intends to award a Firm Fixed Price Contract as a result of this solicitation. The base period of performance will start from date of award anticipated on August 27, 2012 through October 15, 2012; and Option Period 1, October 16, 2012 through November 30, 2012. The Department of Commerce has a requirement for the refurbishment of bronze doors, transoms, handrails, posts and window grills, in an historical building in Washington, DC. The Offeror is required to provide all labor, supervision, materials, parts, and equipment to perform these refurbishment and restoration services in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW). All services and work will be performed at the: Herbert C. Hoover Building (HCHB) US Department of Commerce 1401 Constitution Ave., NW Washington, DC 20230 ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Two mandatory site visits to view the items for restoration are scheduled for August 8 and 9, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. To schedule a walk-thru, submit an email notification stating which day and time to Donita Hood at DHood@doc.gov After receipt confirmation, please contact Joe Prebble at 202-482-2574 at least 1 hour before arrival to access parking (there are a limited number of spaces) and to gain entry into the building. The award shall be made based on a lowest price technically acceptable evaluation. Evaluation of proposals may be made without discussions with the offeror(s). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-56. All responsible sources that can meet the requirements as specified in the attached Statement of Work (SOW) may respond to this solicitation by submitting a proposal addressed to Donita Hood, U.S. Department of Commerce, Office of Acquisition Management, 1401 Constitution Ave, N.W., Room 6521, Washington, DC 20230. The proposals must be received no later than Friday, August 17, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. local time. All written questions regarding this solicitation must be sent via email to Donita Hood, Contract Specialist at Dhood@doc.gov and received before Friday, August 13, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. The Government reserves the right to make one award or no award at all as a result of this solicitation.
