Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs will hold pre-solicitation a conference on August 21st at the Richmond, Virginia Textile Care Facility. The anticipated size of this award will exceed $7 million. The applicable NAICS code is 333312, and industry feedback is desired. Conference details are as follows: The Department of Veterans Affairs will hold a pre-solicitation conference in Richmond, VA on Tuesday August 21, 2012 from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm Eastern Time. The VA intends to purchase Textile Care Processing Equipment to include but not be limited to: One (1) Laundry Ancillary Support Water Storage/Pumping System and related systems; one (1) Soil Storage/Sorting Conveyor System; one (1) Soil Overhead Monorail Conveyor System; one (1) Wash System; one (1) Drying and Conditioning Tumbler; one (1) Semi Automated Cart Washer and Dryer; one (1) Cleanside Overhead Semi-automated Monorail Storage Conveyor System; two (2) Flatwork Ironing Systems; one (1) Garment Tunnel Finisher; three (3) each 120/125 Pound Drying and Conditioning Tumblers; three (3) each 80/85 Pound Washer Extractors; one (1) Large Piece Folder; three (3) Small Piece Folder Machines; and four (4) Folding Tables. The VA may award multiple contracts from any subsequent solicitation. Participation in the pre-solicitation conference will not be required for the submission of offers. However, the VA feels that a site visit is essential to understanding the project. Participation in the pre-solicitation conference/site visit will be the responsibility of the offerors and is not reimbursable by the Government.
