- Solicitation Number: VA-200R-13-RQ-0003 Notice Type: Sources Sought Document Restoration for Neosho, MO Records Center - Department of Veterans Affairs Thank you for taking the time to assist us in gathering this information! The VA Franchise Fund Simplified Acquisition Office (FFSAO) is currently conducting market research to determine the existence of viable commercial sources capable of providing document stabilization and recovery services for document folders or boxes of folders on an 'as-needed' basis. The contractor shall provide personnel, management, and other items and services not Government-furnished, necessary to clean and treat documents to prevent further deterioration and allow safe handling; the Government will furnish replacement boxes where required. The Government will ship documents to and from the contractor's official place of business to provide the specified services. The anticipated period of performance is a base year (October 1, 2012 - September 30, 2013) with the possibility of exercising 1-year options for up to four periods. Repair times are expected to be less than 30 calendar days. Potential types of damaged documents include: 1) paper records inadvertently exposed to water, 2) paper records inadvertently exposed to water or contaminants with mild signs of deterioration or mold growth requiring thorough cleaning to enable safe handling, and 3) paper records inadvertently exposed to water or contaminants needing only stabilization to ensure records do not deteriorate any further. VA FFSAO is seeking industry information and comments from sources with capabilities to perform the contract and with relevant experience. Interested parties shall complete and submit the below questionnaire to the Government.
