Description

As part of its mission to support the information technology needs of the House community, the U.S. House of Representatives, Office of the Chief Administrative Officer, maintains and administers a system to assist seventeen legislative committees of the House in producing a Committee Legislative Calendar, which is used as a day-to-day working tool, and is published at the end of every Congress. The Committee Legislative Calendars and the day-to-day processes that they support are now automated with the Committee Legislative Calendar System (CCALS). The House is exploring replacing the current system with a web-based solution encompassing content and document management. The House is gathering information about the various solutions currently available and the customization that is required to develop a unique application to create and publish the Committee Legislative Calendars. The information gathered will enable the House to assess whether migration from its current system to a new system is warranted at this time.
